Want to know how Lindsay Lohan is faring these days? Look no further than her hands and legs, which seem to be pretty good indicators as to how things are going. First up are her fingers, which have lately been entwined with those of constant companion Samantha Ronson.

Not only were the pair snapped touching digits as they walked out of a Sephora fete Thursday night in New York, but they’re also pictured holding hands on the latest cover of Life&Style, which belatedly asks the question “Is Lindsay Gay?” (Seems the answer, much like Denise Richards, is “complicated.”)

And while L&S believes Lindsay’s mom-ager Dina may be in “denial,” she apparently made a point to show her support at the Sephora soiree, where People says her offspring steered clear of alcohol and spent most of the night hanging with Sam behind the DJ booth.

According to the New York Daily News, Dina told fellow revelers “just how cute” she thought Linds looked with Ronson, “making sure reporters were never out of earshot.”

“I love Samantha,” gushed Dina at the bash (via “Access Hollywood“). “She’s like a child to me. They’re great friends and as long as my daughter is happy and healthy, it is what it is.”

From most accounts, the thrice-rehabbed and still stubbornly blonde starlet, 22, who recently wrapped the low-budget comedy “Labor Pains,” is indeed feeling contented, with a source enthusing to People, “Lindsay is so happy now because of Sam.”

(Still, the twosome has yet to comment publicly on their relationship. The Los Angeles Times recently delved into the media’s handling of their couple-y status, but Lohan’s rep would say only that she “wants to keep her private life private.”)

Lohan and Ronson’s together-time continued over the weekend, when they were spotted making the scene in the Hamptons. On Saturday afternoon, paparazzi captured them doing some shopping, and later that night the duo hung out at Lily Pond nightclub, where Ronson was working the turntables.

“Lindsay stayed with Sam all evening and danced by the DJ booth with Ronson’s sisters [Charlotte and Annabelle],” a mole tells E! News.

But did LiLo, who reportedly received a $22,000 diamond ring from Sam for her birthday earlier this month, want to be left alone during their getaway?

Perez Hilton claims she turned down all autograph- and picture-seekers, including the younger members of her remaining fan base.

Meanwhile, Lindsay’s legs are also serving her well of late, at least judging by the number of people who are eager to follow her lead by sheathing their gams in Lycra.

E! News reports there’s already a waiting list at Los Angeles boutique Intuition for LiLo’s new leggings line, which ranges from leopard-print “ankle gloves” for $42 to conveniently knee-padded pants for $132.

“The collection is blowing out, we were so overwhelmed by the reaction,” marvels the store’s owner. “We have launched other celebrity collections here, and this one is just flying through the door.”

Not likely to fly out the door anytime soon is a Lindsay-endorsed self-tanner, at least according to Star, which alleges that Sam has convinced her to stop turning her skin the color of an overcooked yam regurgitated by an Oompa-Loompa.

“Sam told Linds that her skin is beautiful in its natural state, which is very pale, and to stop using all that tanning cream,” a snitch tattles to the tab. “She was getting tired of it anyhow. It’s such a pain to apply.”
